In my quest for better communication, I'm not going to going to lie to you about what I "plan" on doing or what I "want" to do. Don't get me wrong - I would love to increase housing in the surrounding area and decrease the price or improve Quest and WaterlooWorks, however, there are a lot of these may be next to impossible for us to do overnight. This is why I've targeted my platform around 3 issues. Open communication and transparency (which I hope to be doing here!), increasing the mental health resources and
Increasing Communication
Our first goal is to increase communication within our community. We will be implementing open communication channels, gathering feedback for events, and bringing community concerns to the board. We believe that by doing so, we can create a more inclusive and collaborative environment for everyone.
Mental Health Services
Our second goal is to improve mental health services. Our university's should be a haven and people are already facing enough struggles between finding a job, exams and their extra curriculars. Everyone deserves mental health help and the fact of the matter is... we are not at the standard we should be. We need support events, increased support from counsellors and a way for people to find the friends they need.

If you're like me, you've probably been close to failing a course or two. Office hours can go by too quick and tutors may not always fit. That's why I want to create the EBuddy or Education Buddy program (not great at naming things so that my not stick!). The EBuddy program aims to connect people who are taking or have taken a specific course with someone that's struggling in a flexible and casual manner.
